Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Seoul Design Award (organized by the Seoul Design Foundation) would like to inform you general notifications and ask for your consent regarding the collection and use of personal or corporate information and the provision to the third parties in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

Please read through and note that your submission will follow as the described below.

  • General notification
    • Applicants shall assume all responsibilities relating to submitted documents, and any documents received by the office shall not be returned.
    • In case of any of the following, applicants shall be deemed invalid for the screening process, and awards can be canceled after announcing the winner and giving the prize
      • - If the contents of the submitted documents are different from the facts or found to be false
      • - Any act recognized as an infringement of intellectual property rights including copyright and design rights, such as plagiarism, piracy, and unauthorized use
    • The copyright of the materials submitted for entry belongs to the applicant.
    • For the purpose of promotion (exhibitions, events, screening, publishing, etc.), the organizer can transmit, exhibit, replicate, and distribute Winners’ materials.
    • Even if a project is carried out under the name of an official organization, individuals/organizations that have actually carried out the project are subject to review
    • All schedules, including screening, awards, announcements, are subject to change according to the organizer's circumstances.
  • Consent to collection and use of personal information
    Collecting Items of Personal Information
    • Name (name of corporation or place of business), affiliation,mobile phone number, e-mail, address (location) and etc.
    Purpose of collecting and using personal information
    • The personal information you provide will be used for the following purposes in connection with this project.
      • ①Use for identity verification and identification procedure/ registration procedure
      • ②Use for communication and notification / selection of winners and follow-up management
    Retention and use period of personal information
    • Retention period of collected personal information: 10 years
    • After the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved, the information will be destroyed without delay.
